Larry D. Genrich

Larry D. Genrich, 74 years of age, of Odell passed away at the Heritage Care Center in Fairbury Tuesday night, July 30, 2019. He was born on June 3, 1945 in Beatrice to Lee and Helen (Rahe) Genrich and lived in the Beatrice and Odell area most of his life. He was a graduate of Beatrice High School. Larry was married to Sandy Wilson until she passed away. He served his country with the Nebraska National Guard from July 2, 1964 until August 1, 1972. Larry then married Joanne (Winkle) Lisec on December 4, 1976 and they owned and operated The Tiger's Den in Odell for 22 years. He was a member of the Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Odell; the Odell American Legion and the Beatrice Eagles Club. Larry enjoyed working, cooking, spending time with his family, golfing and collected Budweiser Steins and NASCAR memorabilia.
Survivors include wife Joanne; son Jeffrey Lisec and wife Lisa of Grain Valley, MO; 2 grandsons Grant & Gage Lisec; sister Beverly Vonasek and husband Morrie of Lincoln; brother Richard Genrich and wife Kay of Beatrice; and aunt Alberta Rahe of Beatrice. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife Sandy Genrich.
Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, August 5, 2019 at the Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Odell with Reverend Greg Stuckwisch officiating. Inurnment at the Odell Cemetery. There will be no viewing or visitation as cremation has taken place. A family prayer service will be held at 9:45 AM Monday at the church.
