JoAnn Barnhill

JoAnn U. (Graham) Barnhill, age 90 of Barneston passed away on March 27, 2026 peacefully on the Barnhill family farm near Barneston, NE. She was born in Oketo, Kansas on September 7, 1935 to (Robert) Roy Graham and Eva Mae (Taylor) Graham. JoAnn was a 1953 graduate of Barneston High School. On April 7, 1956 she was united in marriage to Kenneth Barnhill. JoAnn worked at the Good Samaritan Home, Wymore, until her retirement.

Left to mourn her passing are her children Diane Yousefi, Lori Barnhill Viken, Father Robert Barnhill, Michael Barnhill, Paul Barnhill and special friend Lori, Dennis Barnhill, Darryl Barnhill and special friend Deb, David Barnhill, and Chad Barnhill and wife Amy; foreign exchange students from Brazil Marcio Castilho, Sergio de Ferreria, and Ricardo Hardt, 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; sister Judy Angerer, sister-in-law, Diane Graham; brother-in-law Gale Barnhill and wife Karen; brother-in-law, Jack Volesky and wife Margie, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, parents Roy and Eva Graham, brother Jim Graham, brothers-in-law Dale Marschman, Jim Angerer, sister-in-law Shirley Volesky, and son-in-law, Reza Yousefi.

Visitation will be take place on May 21, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home in Wymore with the family greeting relatives and friends from 5:30-7:00 PM with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on May 22nd at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Wymore with Father Robert Barnhill and Father Loras Grell officiating. A family prayer service will start at 10:15 AM. Luncheon to be provided by St. Mary’s Altar Society. Inurnment will be at the Barneston Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the JoAnn Barnhill Memorial Fund with the funeral home in charge.
