Beatrice, Nebraska
Dale A. Evers, 74 years of age, of Beatrice, passed away peacefully at his home on July 18th, 2026, with his family by his side. He was born on February 5th, 1952, to Melvin and Emma (Zimmerman) Evers. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and graduated from Beatrice High School in 1970. Following graduation Dale enlisted in the Nebraska Army National Guard and proudly served his great nation for six years. Dale was recently presented the Quilt of Valor for his service.
After serving his country, Dale worked at Store Kraft for 24 years. He then farmed for several years, and then joined Blue Valley Door, where he remained until his retirement. Dale embraced life with an adventurous spirit and a love for excitement. A true thrill-seeker, he enjoyed bungee jumping, skydiving, rollover derbies, and flying his Para plane. Racing was one of his greatest passions, and through the years he built not only memories, but also an incredible racing family whom he cherished. In recognition of his dedication to the sport, Dale was inducted into the Beatrice Speedway Hall of Fame in 2021. It was an honor he deeply appreciated.
When he wasn't racing, Dale enjoyed bowling, cheering on Nebraska sports, fishing, hunting, car shows, and was a lifelong fan of Dale Earnhardt Sr. Known for his generous heart, Dale was especially proud of donating more than 14 gallons of blood to the American Red Cross. He found great fulfillment in knowing that his donations helped to save lives of others.

He is proceeded in death by his father, Melvin Evers; his parents-in-law, Bob and Barb Tapee; his brother Duane Evers; his sisters-in-law, Chris Koepsel and Karen Rehm; his brothers-in-law Matt Tapee and David Tapee; his nephew Jared Tapee; and his great nephew, Maddox Weber.
Honoring Dale's wishes, his body has been donated to science to support medical research and advance the understanding of Parkinson's disease and traumatic brain injuries, allowing him to continue helping others even after his passing. There will be no viewing or visitation and this time, but a celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is established to Parkinson's research and the Beatrice Backpack Program.
